Duncan recently had the opportunity to attend an advanced training course for the installation of the MA-VE Hydraulic Levelling Systems for motorhomes. He travelled to Italy and enjoyed a visit to the factory, hands-on skills development, a little sight-seeing with the MA-VE team and of course plenty of delicious Italian food!
The course Duncan attended, along with distributors from Belgium, UK and Italy, covered the intricate aspects of the MA-VE hydraulic levelling system, trouble-shooting, fault finding and learning more about the software. Duncan also took the opportunity while there to work with the factory on updating the aesthetics of the KiwiSat Plus satellite antenna and developed some new features which will be released shortly.
MA-VE/ SR Mecatronic, a leading manufacturer of automatic satellite TV antennas and hydraulic levelling systems, was founded in Italy in 2009 by Marco Santoli around the same time as Apollo Entertainment was founded by Duncan MacMillan & Chris Hart. Initially producing the satellite tv antennas, production was started in a second factory in 2015, in the oldest republic in the world, San Marino, a country within a country. Their satellite antennas were initially only sold in Italy, but are now the second largest supplier of automatic satellite antenna in the world. In 2016 the company expanded their offering to include the MA-VE hydraulic levelling systems.
Since partnering with MA-VE / SR Mecatronic, Apollo Entertainment has become the biggest supplier of automatic satellite antenna in New Zealand. Further, since the addition of the hydraulic levelling systems to the range, Apollo has gone from strength to strength with the product and demand is steadily increasing. Working with MA-VE is a big part of why Apollo Entertainment is so successful.
The implementation of mass production of the satellite antenna and hydraulic levelling systems means the Italian company will be moving to a custom designed, 4000 square metre building, at the end of July 2018.
In addition to product training, Duncan was invited to join with distributors from the UK, Italy and Belgium to discuss design and development of new products and product redesigns. Apollo enjoys having such close relationships with our suppliers.
MA-VE’s sales department will be supporting Apollo at the Covi Show in Auckland in 2019.
